Super Metroid Mega Mario Bros!?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never felt so frustrated while playing the original Super Mario Bros. that I wished I could whip out a fucking spread gun but apparently someone has. In Super Mario Crossover which hit the net today, you get the chance to run through the game using various “old school” characters.

Samus Aran from Metroid, Simon Belmont from Castlevania, and Link from The Legend of Zelda are just a few names to choose from. Each of them control pretty much the same way they did in their respective games (which feels odd at first, but you get used to it) and the original sprites are used.

So far, I’ve only gone through a few levels with Link but it’s pretty fun and definitely clear how much thought and work was put into it. My only suggestion: If you have a gamepad that you can connect to your comp, go that route because controlling with a keyboard is kind of a bitch.
